Where did the ____ go?

I blinked and most of it had gone. I lost so much of it already. What if there's not enough left? What if I waste the last bits of it? Who do I spend it on?
Sure, I don't want it to stop. I need it to move on. But there's only one direction and sometimes I just want to do a 90 degree turn and head back.
I guess I'll have to make the most of it.

Adam and the Apple

Soft green grass caressed his naked feet as he slowly strolled through the garden Eden. He reached out and picked an apple that was growing  on a tree nearby. The youth wasn't hungry but enjoyed the sensation of the fruit's round smooth surface in his palm. The intense red of it's skin reflected in his blue eyes. He pushed his thumb into its surface and pierced the apple, pressing onwards until the white flesh oozed out. Clear juice started trickling down his hand. The apple was bleeding.

Bandages

Duncan Gray waited and thought. Then he said: "I will end this today".
Everybody who knew Duncan, knew he was serious, everyone who didn't, would soon find out that Duncan was always serious.
In a slow controlled motion he wrapped bandages around his massive hands. He was getting ready for a long fight.
Blood would flow, tears would follow and there would be hell on earth while he took care of things.

Mountain shaped

God caressed the outline of the mountain chain with his right hand. He liked the rough feeling of jagged stone and dry bushes on his palm. Out of the corner of his eye he could see one of the monkey creatures he had planted on earth ages ago start climbing a mountain.
It didn't really make sense for monkeys to climb mountains but this particular breed rarely did make sense. God pulled back his hand and watched the monkey which had wrapped itself in colourful second skin work itself up the hill. He wondered if the monkey was embarassed because it had lost nearly all of its hair. The sheep which were loitering near the top of the hill also started watching the monkeys with slight amusement.
Once the monkeys reached the top they stopped and looked down at where they started their journey. Then they started walking back towards where they started.
Dumb creatures, God thought.

Steven Spiegel

"Open your eyes, Mr Spiegel" a kind female voice whispered.
I opened my eyes and confusion washed over me as I saw what seemed the watery remains of an impressionistic painting. My hand like a molten piece of wax passed my line of vision. I stared at the dripping outline of my fingers.
"Cigarette" I croaked.
"You can't smoke here. You're in a hospital."
"Cigarette" I repeated calmly.
"I'm sorry I can't allow you to smoke here. It's not good for your new eye."
Last I remembered I'd been dumped by my girlfriend and then shot in the face by my best friend. Now the world was one big mix of LSD colours.
I sighed.
"Cigarette" I repeated once more.

2:22

She opened her eyes slowly for the light of the day was blinding her. Her long black eyelashes fluttered like a kingfisher's wings for a moment. As if overcome by an explosion of confidence she ripped her eyes wide open. Of such power was her gaze that the world did not define her, but she defined the world.
Every leaf of every tree gained a unique set of veins and thickness, every stone its own weight and texture. The rivers started flowing in patterns, the winds influenced each other according to intricate laws of logic. Every molecule, atom and quartz connected, cooperated, interplayed, joined and merged, created networks and relationships with each other.
Reality started moving according to a wonderfully scripted choreography, a symphony of all things intermingling.
Then her gaze fell upon him and with it reality was ripped in two - incomprehensible and confusing.

Tiny People

Rukwanah scrambled out of the dark tunnel and wiped of the slime and muck that was sticking to his overall. The device was deployed and he had only seconds before it would trigger a blast that could destroy entire cities. He started running towards his friends who were hiding in the nearby forest. As he came nearer he could see the fear in their faces as they stared back at him. Was it too late? He tried running even faster on the soft ground. He slipped. Even as he struggled to get up he could feel how a strong force was pulling him back towards the mound the cave. A glance backwards revealed that it had started.

Rukwanah send a short prayer to the gods before he was sucked back into the dark cave. His tiny body shot through the air. In a motion that was mere reflex his hands grasped at the black thorns growing at the entry of the cave. His arm jerked and was ripped out of its socket but he was taken no further inside. The small man knew that this was only the beginning though. The sucking force died down. Rukwanah saw his life go past his inner eye.

TSHOOOOOOOOOOhhh!
